Still on trees!
Doesn't look too clear but it is a carved tree of Arequipa (Peru)...looks much better in my photo file. Of all the travelling I have done I have never found a tree totally carved into images of humanity and its struggles. You can see in the lower right hand corner that even the birds are moved by the spectacle. The angle the tree sits is not of my making just years and years of strong winds and leaning to be noticed. When I say that I have never seen a tree base covered in wood carving I must correct myself. In southern Bavaria (Germany) and I must include Austria wood carving is a popular pasttime. I'll see if I can find some examples in my photo library.
