That time of the year again!

Yes even in the country with the highest interest rates and numbers of people living in poverty it doesn't cost anything to walk in the park of BuenosAries and be reminded that there are opportunities

to give. Just look at these pictures. These we found in 2011 and all were made of recycled materials. The Christmas tree can just be seen behind the white building.






And in front and a few steps away we found someone's idea of creativity ...something one wouldn't expect to find and so unusual...a huge stainless steel-like flower in the middle of a lake.This flower computerised to open with the morning sun and to close after sun set did so faultlessly.

And on the petals were reflections of the surrounding city scape. A wonderful environment and all for free. Even the weather obliged!

So 'don't cry for me Argentina'...this is a country well worth visiting.

And seeing last week was Domestic Violence Week........

The penguins in Antarctica I thought had it all worked out.I was quite shocked how they handled the issue of RAPE! Because that was what the photos I had taken represented to me. The first I took found me quite shaky...but the sharp beak made its point  and threatened 'Either you let me or I'll slash your neck open.'
The next photo showed that he had relaxed a little.But all made me think of the revival of the idea of 'ownership of the female...the property of the male!' Is that the cause of our domestic violence in society today? Yes, not just our society but those existing for many centuries with their intolerance of the female body and their use of the female simply as slaves.

  The question is asked often. Should females have the right of ownership of their own bodies? Again the penguins of Antarctica don't seem to think so.
But the news is not all bad. Follow the pictures taken and you will find a very happy and contented couple standing by after the event.

What happened?
Not much! He thinks he is a KING Penguin! But........

Good! I believe he will. Till then I can go back to sleep.

The red jackets look warm! But it is summer and where we'll be going is winter. So will we be warm enough?

What? Where? Oh he comes every year!
